During Creative Economy Week we’ll shine a spotlight on the strong and growing arts and culture economy in Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley. We want to recognize the efforts and importance of the creative class workers that add to the quality of life we enjoy in Eau Claire.
The creative economy is a powerful engine of growth and community vitality. Together, artists, cultural nonprofits, and creative businesses produce and distribute cultural goods and services that generate jobs, revenue, and quality of life. A thriving cultural sector leads to thriving communities. The arts and culture sector in the U.S. is a $699 billion industry, providing 4.3 percent of the nation’s GDP. This impact drives economic development on the national, state, regional, and local level.
Join local designers, photographers, illustrators, printers and more for cocktails and an open discussion about the Dairyland Designers Association. The Dairyland Designers Association seeks to provide working creatives an outlet for further professional development, networking and career opportunities, as well as cultivate a creative atmosphere so professionals feel stimulated, inspired, and engaged in the Chippewa Valley. This launch event is hosted by Odd Brand Strategy, JB Systems, Greendoor Graphics, and The Oxbow Hotel.
This event is free and open to the public!
