Creative Economy Week has ended
Welcome to Creative Economy Week in Eau Claire!

During Creative Economy Week we’ll shine a spotlight on the strong and growing arts and culture economy in Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley. We want to recognize the efforts and importance of the creative class workers that add to the quality of life we enjoy in Eau Claire.

The creative economy is a powerful engine of growth and community vitality. Together, artists, cultural nonprofits, and creative businesses produce and distribute cultural goods and services that generate jobs, revenue, and quality of life. A thriving cultural sector leads to thriving communities. The arts and culture sector in the U.S. is a $699 billion industry, providing 4.3 percent of the nation’s GDP. This impact drives economic development on the national, state, regional, and local level.

Jest Scripts
President (Jane) & Senior Lackey (Jim)
Eau Claire, WI
We sell online madrigal dinner scripts to high schools, colleges, and community theaters. We have sold scripts all over the US and internationally in places like Japan, Germany, England, Australia, and even Qatar.
We also have 17 published plays to date with Eldridge Plays, Brooklyn/Heuer Publishers, and Pioneer Drama Service. We write mostly comedy but also have a few serious plays out there.
We'd like to produce more of our scripts. We are always looking for actors and voice actors for some upcoming radio scripts. We are also seeking musicians interested in collaborating on a musical and always looking for fellow playwrights to connect with.
